Privacy at Mediavania
What is stored
Account identity is handled by Supabase Auth. Mediavania stores your profile, follows, saved and read states, game shelves, claims, and private feed tokens. Article content remains on the original publisher's site.
Steam data
If you connect Steam, Mediavania stores your Steam account connection, public persona name, avatar and profile URLs, owned AppIDs and game titles, playtime supplied by Steam, and synchronization status. The numeric SteamID is used internally for synchronization and is never displayed on a public profile. API credentials are never stored with reader data. Steam data is provided by Valve on an as-is basis.
Storage location
Mediavania uses Vercel for application hosting and Supabase for authentication and database storage. The configured data-storage location is United States. Their infrastructure may process operational data according to their own service terms.
What is public
Accounts are private by default. A standard public profile shares profile fields and reading activity only. If you separately enable the expanded social profile, it can also share saves, owned Steam games and playtime, manual game statuses, follows, and activity created after consent. Email, feed tokens, Steam API credentials, and the numeric SteamID are never exposed.
Analytics
Outbound article visits and Steam import outcomes are counted only as aggregate totals. These totals do not include SteamIDs or API payloads and do not identify readers.
Control
You can disconnect Steam to remove imported ownership and playtime while preserving manual Played and Want to play choices. You can also revoke feed URLs, disable the expanded profile, make your profile private, or delete your account and associated reader data from profile settings.
